Ukrainian Barber's Journey to Austin: Building a Business from Scratch

My name is Yehor. Over two and a half years ago, I moved from Ukraine to Austin, Texas. At first, the city seemed boring to me, but over time it took a special place in my heart — so much so that I couldn't bring myself to leave.

Today, I proudly run my own business here — a barbershop. I also had my own salon in Ukraine, but here I had to start from scratch, without knowing the language or having any support. Despite that, Austin welcomed me warmly. The people here are incredibly kind — everyone is ready to help, give advice, and offer support.

I wish everyone to find their people, true friends, and a place where you truly feel at home.
