Anna Lysenko, The Organizer

Two Business Worlds: A Ukrainian's Story in Texas
Anna Lysenko bridges Ukrainian and American business approaches through her expertise in marketing and HR. Born in Chernivtsi, Ukraine, and now living in Texas for the past two years, she witnesses daily how differently business operates in the two countries.
Anna began her career in offline marketing, where she learned an important lesson: every business faces unique marketing challenges.
Over a decade ago, she entered the IT field, rising from marketing manager to office leader in a company that grew to 200 employees. With degrees in both marketing and psychology, she naturally balanced roles in both fields—eventually becoming a passionate advocate for HR.
Now based in Texas, she continues to work with her company as an educational outreach specialist.
Having seen business from both sides of the ocean, Anna has noticed something interesting: Ukrainian businesses often focus intensely on details—creating beautiful packaging and paying attention to the smallest elements—sometimes overlooking cost efficiency. American businesses, by contrast, prioritize practicality and product functionality. The ideal model, she believes, lies somewhere in between.
A unique part of Anna’s journey is her experience in creating gluten-free fermented bread. It’s more than just a business—it’s a personal response to her own gluten intolerance. The biggest challenge? Adapting traditional Ukrainian recipes for the American market while preserving their authentic flavor.
As a mother of two young daughters, Anna doesn’t believe in universal time management hacks. Life, she says, proves that one-size-fits-all solutions rarely work. Instead, she focuses on what truly matters: supporting Ukrainian producers and developing her own projects.
Anna is especially passionate about small Ukrainian brands. She believes every brand has a story worth telling. She’s particularly inspired by children’s clothing makers who design their own collections rather than resell imported items. Anna gladly pays more for their originality, willingness to engage with customers, and determination to find their place in the market.
In a world dominated by mass-market products, Anna Lysenko remains committed to supporting creators who offer something genuine and aren’t afraid to experiment. Her dream is to build a platform where these producers can share their stories and connect with their audience.
Through her experience with both Ukrainian and American companies, Anna has learned that successful business always comes down to people and their stories. That’s why she believes every Ukrainian brand—no matter how small—deserves to be heard.
“When you see people putting their heart into their work, experimenting, and finding their path—it’s inspiring. Sometimes all they need is one chance, one opportunity to share their story and reach their customer,” she says.
Today, Anna is working on building a platform to help Ukrainian brands not only connect with audiences in the U.S. but also stay authentic in the global market. It’s more than just a business project—it’s a mission to connect talented Ukrainian producers with people around the world who value quality and uniqueness.
